Do you ever wonder why dogs can quickly learn to understand any language, recognized spelled words, hand signals, body language and other non verbal cues and enjoy inter-specie communication?    While we mere humans plod along rarely mastering little of comparitive significance? A Day In The Life Of Happy Tails Rescue
People often contact us in frustration with what they believe to be dog related issues.  Many times, after hearing the whole story, we find that it's really a dog with people problems that's causing his humans to become upset.  The most sought after and valuable information is simple and easily mastered.  If you have a nervous, flighty, emotional roller coaster personality, then is it really a surprise that your dog exhibits the same type of behavior?

If you're calm, stable, realistic, compassionate, then your dog is going to also reflect those traits.  Even something as simple and natural as you being scared at an approaching stranger could cause your dog to react to your stress and tension.  It doesn't have to be this way, there are hundreds of wonderful books that help put things into perspective so you can honor your lifetime commitment to the animals in your lifes.

Sadly, a growing number of people have fallen into the disposable society mode of dumping relationships, dumping homes, dumping dogs, learning nothing in the process and moving on to create the same mistakes the next time around.  Instead why not learn to identify the cause of the problem and work for solutions that last a lifetime?

We neither breed, board nor sell Rottweilers and are NOT classified as a kennel, but rather as a private charitable rescue sanctuary. Your donations to us are considered gifts and are not for value received. All of the Rotties are homed with us, rehabilitated, fed, loved and nourished back to good physical, mental & spriritual health so that they're ready for their exceptional new homes.

Adoptions are by appointment only and after you've been approved for adoption. For protection of the Rottweilers, our sanity and in order to minimize stressful or territorial reactions, all adoption appointments & surrenders are done at our office, or other neutral territory. Your other indoor dogs are also invited to attend & participate in the selection of your new family member!  Unannounced visitors are not appreciated and will not be accommodated.
