Happy Tails Rescue is Off Grid and relies on a generator for year round daily use, but it's impossible to exist without one for winter survival.
As of this writing no SCREAMING emergencies, we just lived through one that lasted 48 plus hours.
No generator means no water, no electricity, no heat or lights.

48 Hours Without Power or When a Rescue Needs To Be Rescued!
Who hasn't gone through a storm or some other natural weather situation that knocked down trees or caused power outages? One of the reasons we chose to live off grid was so we could control those miserable circumstances. Living off grid since 1999 we've never been more than 10 or so hours without power which for a rescue is vital. Guess it was our turn, November 23 we took our Honda generator to Yakima for a correction on the recent repair but after returning home our other Honda generator which was running, but also needed major repair, would no longer start.
None of several other generators were cooperating either, we couldn't get anything running or generating power. Still this wouldn't be too bad if we didn't have a lot of animals to care for, they don't stop drinking just because the well is incapable of delivering water. I tried to find another generator locally to rent, or buy, and luck wasn't on my side.
Instead friends helped out, we borrowed their emergency small canister type propane heaters which would prevent our water lines from freezing and they had a small one we used for inside the house. Temperatures were quite crisp dropping to around 11 degrees at night and warming only to about
freezing during the day. Fortunately days were sunny, without wind or rain so that helped.
Our friends down the road even helped bring us water so we could continue to provide for our animals. Of course the water had to be brought inside or it would quickly become giant ice cubes. During this time not only did normal life have to continue, we also had to devote significant energy to resolving the generator problem. Finally a local generator guy found one for me that would work and we got it connected by 8:45pm 11/25.
Believe me, it's not easy watering thirsty dogs, horses and goats by hand from various water containers. I had to hand carry small bucket loads pulled in a wagon and deliver small amounts by hand. Humans endured the cold inside with just some containers of borrowed water and tiny propane heater, brrrrrr to say the least! That 48 hours seemed like weeks.
Highest on our dream list is a 20k or 30k Diesel generator who's life span is easily 25,000 hours and uses only 1/4 of a gallon of fuel hourly. Something that size would only need to be powered up a couple of hours at the most daily, but are capable of running continuously 24/7. They are expensive but our local generator guy does get reconditioned ones from time to time, dear Santa?
Gustav Memorial (photo above)
How can just a few minutes change everything? October 17, 2013 started like all others and ended in sadness.
It's hard enough losing a beloved animal family member when they are old, sick or there is some reason to anticipate death. It is unfathomably unbearable when the death is sudden, unexpected and I am left powerless to change the outcome, but with ample intellect to question everything preceding his dying moment. I'm sure many of you have also suffered sudden loses and endured the nagging agony. Could we have done anything to have prevented an untimely death?
This written release is a tribute to Gustav, and for myself, to bring some type of finality or closure to my wounds. The crying was uncontrollable and pushed me into hyperventilation that night. My heart was literally ripped from it's base, cruelly extracted by a thief in the night. I lost my footing, my friend and was barely hanging on with too many tears pouring down my face.
Gustav pictured above at 4 months, shortly after he was vaccinated for Parvo, he developed parvo and spent several months with an Idaho vet. Since I didn't know him before, I don't know if it was the vaccine heavy metals that damaged him neurologically or if he was that way to begin with. He was labeled dangerous and so came to us after his parvo recovery. Unusual from the instant we met, he barked the entire 6 plus hour drive from the Vet's office, stopping only to catch his breath and continue, he had a lot to say and was going to be heard!
Shortly afterward he developed severe spinal conditions, his back was always arched much like a camel, he could only walk on his rear tip toes and he would have small rear end seizures from time to time. Months of herbal blends and therapeutic mushrooms brought him a gorgeous top line and he developed into a super athlete. Even the small seizures were virtually eliminated.
Bursting with energy and life he crammed 20 years of living into the 7.5 years spent on earth. So many of our Rotts live well into their active teenage years, that's it's shocking when we lose one so young.
See what fun The Gustinator is having with munching on my feet, knees etc? Try getting anywhere in a hurry!
The Gustinator was too rough for the public, too much uncontrolled energy, life was a game, your feet were a game, his huge smile could easily rake your arm and the uninformed would believe they were being attacked, he was just one powerful bundled of muscled affection. Good Stuff could grab your shoe laces mid stride and you'd better have good balance or be on your face, and he could do it running backwards in front of you!
Other dogs were fun too and he loved horses! Not a mean bone in his powerful body, but someone could easily come in contact with his huge smiling face, quick paws or his unusual, gruff play style that we modified but couldn't eliminate.
Once he relaxed at night, he was a huge, affectionate licking, melted marshmallow. A kind gentle creature who joined our indoor permanent crew.
That was just Gustav's 2 speeds, hyper turbo overdrive or melt onto you and the couch, aka Goo Goo, Gooey, Good Stuff or The Gustinator, this generally didn't happen until about 10pm and he'd be all melted butter on the sofa. He was my favorite dog of all times, because of his quirks and spirit.
His days were fun filled outside in the pasture, next to his best friend Paco, the Peruvian Paso Stallion. They were physical matched friends, running the fence lines, rolling or just hanging out with each other on opposite sides of the fence. Goo also had 3 permanent deer friends, and up to 7 who would share his pasture. He did not chase them. He would observe them and only boof and bounce if they violated his 25' limit.
The morning after Gooey passed to the Rainbow Bridge, the deer were not in his pasture for the first time in years, they knew he was gone and they felt the loss, he was their protector.
How did he lose his precious life? Just before it was time for Gooey to come in for the night he started barking as though he was playing with Paco, it was an unusual time so after looking out the window and not seeing him, we raced out just as he launched himself into his Igloo after warning the Raccoon to leave the area and his food.
Over the years he had amply warned and then swiftly killed 2 raccoons, or he would tree them and we would have to hunt where he held them hostage, hoping we'd help shake them off of the tree! This dog could run for hours, just be winded and emerge without a scratch. While we didn't like these life and death encounters, we live rurally and they could have been with much bigger critters.
His last fight only lasted a few minutes before we could get Goo out of his Igloo. The raccoons had been staying clear, all outdoor cat or dog food is picked up at night, and he always would encourage them to leave before he struck.
As usual after this battle he emerged without any bites, no scratches, not even limping, just winded. I walked him until he cooled down and brought him in for dinner of raw bison, Coconut oil, herbs and veggies. He flopped down onto the floor, had some water and was still pretty winded/panting. I thoroughly checked him and found no injuries, tender areas, blood or anything unusual.
Gooey would often run Raccoons up a tree and circle the tree for hours, he had amazing endurance. There was
nothing unusual about him or his behavior on his last night, and the battle was shorter than most. The raccoon lived and wobbled away when we extracted Gustav.
He had a couple of cookies and was resting a bit before starting his dinner. We went upstairs to eat our dinner, I heard him get up, lap a bit more water and plop back down. After about 10 minutes I didn't hear him go to the couch which was his normal routine, laying in front of the fireplace and thoroughly enjoying the moment. I went down to see if there was anything I could do and found him dead on the kitchen floor where he always laid after eating. My heart broke.
There were 4 other dogs in the house and both of we humans, yet none of us heard a sound. He just silently died sometime within those 10 minutes when we went upstairs.
Unbelievable, unthinkable, unbearable that I'll never, on this earth, again touch his smiling face, or give him his nightly spinal massage, or watch him with his deer, or with his stallion.
There was nothing anybody could have done for him, not me, not a team of vets, nothing, it happened without symptoms or any warning. Perhaps an over abundance of adrenaline, cortisol or other flight or fight hormone overburdened his system.
Lord Byron's Epitaph To A Dog
Near this Spot
are deposited the Remains of one
who possessed Beauty without Vanity,
Strength without Insolence,
Courage without Ferocity,
and all the virtues of Man without his Vices.
This praise, which would be unmeaning Flattery
if inscribed over human Ashes,
is but a just tribute to the Memory of
BOATSWAIN, a DOG,
who was born in Newfoundland May 1803
and died at Newstead Nov. 18, 1808.
When some proud Son of Man returns to Earth,
Unknown by Glory, but upheld by Birth
The sculptor's art exhausts the pomp of woe,
And storied urns record who rests below.
When all is done, upon the Tomb is seen,
Not what he was, but what he should have been.
But the poor Dog, in life the firmest friend,
The first to welcome, foremost to defend,
Whose honest heart is still his Master's own,
Who labours, fights, lives, breathes for him alone,
Unhonoured falls, unnoticed all his worth,
Denied in heaven the Soul he held on earth
While man, vain insect! hopes to be forgiven,
And claims himself a sole exclusive heaven.
Oh man! thou feeble tenant of an hour,
Debased by slavery, or corrupt by power
Who knows thee well must quit thee with disgust,
Degraded mass of animated dust!
Thy love is lust, thy friendship all a cheat,
Thy tongue hypocrisy, thy words deceit!
By nature vile, ennobled but by name,
Each kindred brute might bid thee blush for shame.
Ye, who perchance behold this simple urn,
Pass on, it honors none you wish to mourn.
To mark a friend's remains these stones arise;
I never knew but one, and here he lies.
Teach Your Dog To Speak Before QUIET Command Is Taught
Teaching your dog to speak on cue isn't just a cute trick; your dog needs to know the speak command before he can learn to be quiet when asked. Training your dog to "speak" and be "quiet" can be a great behavior management tool. If you haven't heard your dog's voice before you might be surprised, some are surprisingly LOUD, even in smaller dogs.
Dogs and Children by Crystal Wakeman, Animal Rescue World
NOTE: Crystal shares our holistic philosophy of rearing children, animals and has operated a PitBull Rescue in California with more than 30 Pitties! Two of her three children grew up in that environment and not one was ever harmed, I asked her to share her observations regarding children and dogs.
Humans and Dogs have a history that goes back 100,000 years. This is when scientists say the DNA from domestic dogs and wolves was split. Somewhere in these 100,000 years we have forgotten that dogs are not humans. We have also taught our children to humanize dogs.
I believe this is the reason for countless misunderstandings between dogs and children. Unfortunately these miscommunications between dogs and humans often result in death for the dog!
I have heard it a million times, "the dog bit our kid all of the sudden with no provocation, he turned on us."
It is highly unlikely that the dog bit with no warning. It is just not a warning that a human might notice. In the world we live in we have lost the natural instincts and language of our natural world.
When we decide to bring a dog into our home we must understand it is time to tap into our instincts, and learn a little bit about dog behavior. A dog is only a dog, they do not understand English or a lot of our behaviors. A household can be a confusing, scary place for a dog. We need to show them we are stable enough to run the pack. If a dog believes he/she is to run the pack (the family) we are putting them in charge of a world they do not understand. This is totally unfair to the dog. If we let them lead they will become scared and unstable because they do not understand our human households.
Never introduce a dog to a child until you are sure the dog understands humans are above them in the pack. Make sure the dog will listen to you no matter the situation. If your dog is unreliable wait until you put in the work to teach them you have running the house covered and it's not the dog's job.
Make sure their temperament is stable enough to be around children. Last, but not least, the kids need to know appropriate behavior around the dog. This does not mean shield the dog from kids all together, it means choose the proper time and environment to introduce the dog to children so everyone is safe and secure.
The first thing to understand is that we should never greet a dog by running up and patting their heads or baby talking. The best habit to get into is to ignore the dog until the dog is calm for at least 10 min.
In some cases you should even wait until the dog stays calm for longer than 10 min, but I will use the 10 min rule as an average. If the dog starts to get worked up (hyper) after you acknowledge them ignore the dog again and add 5 minutes to the original time every time you have to repeat this process.
When we greet our dogs instead of them greeting us we are electing them leader of the pack! Which puts dogs in an uncomfortable position, they feel that they are responsible for running our household!
It is like putting a banker into an operating room and expecting exceptional performance. It is just not going to happen. It is no wonder why there are so many unstable dogs out there.
The second thing to understand is it is a terrible idea to pet, or acknowledge, a dog that is an unstable state of mind. Humans often comfort each other by giving hugs or pats on the back however when we do this to our dogs we reinforce a negative state of mind.
The best thing to do with an unstable dog is to ignore them until they get more comfortable. We can use tools to encourage them to move forward, however, a dog will not move forward if we are reinforcing instability by petting them and putting lots of treats and toys in their face while theyre scared or unsure.
Walking our dogs is incredibly important and is a great way to show our dogs all humans in the home are the leaders. I suggest an adult works with their dog before adding children to the walk. Before you even put a leash on your dog they need to be calm. The leash going on to a dogs collar is a reward. If you reward a hyper exited dog you are setting the mood for the entire walk.
After the leash is on your dog will typically get exited again. Do not move forward until the dog is calm. Every time the dog walks in front of you walk back to the starting point. The dog will get the point, we do not move forward unless I am calm.
It does not matter if you only walk a couple of blocks in an hour. This exercise is a mental work out for your pooch. Every day your four-legged friend will go further and further until they only follow you.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that dogs are very aware of how everyone is feeling around them. If you are in a bad state of mind your dog will sense it and try to take over while you are unable to lead.
Humans are the only animals that follow instability.
Never work a dog when you are having a bad day. Dogs can smell how you felt hours before you even come around.
The more calm and confident that we are the better our dogs will listen. A good way we can test ourselves on our mood and what messages we are sending to our dogs is our body language. Are we walking like leaders? You cannot lead with a slumped over posture.
We should walk with our heads high, chest out, and relax, dogs can see and smell tension from a mile away. While working with dogs we should always ask ourselves what message are we sending to our dogs through our mental state and body language.
Whenever we feed our four-legged friends it is a good idea to show them all humans in the house eat first. This is an activity for the whole family, kids included. This can be accomplished by simply eating a cracker in front of the dog before he/she eats. This should never turn into teasing our dog, or the whole process will lose it's meaning. We also set the bowl of food on the ground and make the dog sit or down while the dog focuses on the human in charge before he/she gets to eat. The dog must also be calm, and not hovering over the bowl. If the dog is sitting but not calm, wait until the dog is calm.
Once you we are sure we have a dog's trust and respect we can introduce the dog to children. The first rule is to never allow the dog to invade the child's space uninvited. They need to keep a respectable distance until they are calm and called to the child. Then they will learn to be calm around children while they are in a submissive state of mind. It is a good idea to include children in training and behavioral conditioning activities.
Just as the adults are to ignore the dog for ten minutes the children must too. This shows our dogs the kids are above them in the pack. We have to be aware of our children's behavior. If they cannot follow the rules they will not be included in the activities.
The children must be disciplined enough to follow the rules. Unstable unruly children will make unstable, unruly dogs. Introducing dogs to children is a positive thing when the environment is not chaotic. Pick a good time and place for this process.
Some dogs are more sensitive than others. It is best to judge each situation differently with each individual dog. Some dogs may not be able to be around children, but I would say most can with the proper introduction and environment.
Never introduce a dog to a child who does not recognize you as the leader. Any dog being introduced to children should be even-tempered and ready.
Everything written here is based on my experience successfully introducing dogs and children, however these are suggestions, if you are unsure consult a behaviorist near you.

A toilet-trained cat may seem like something only Hollywood could dream up, but you really can teach your cat to use the potty, and say goodbye to kitty litter forever.
Inspired by a scene in the Ben Stiller film Meet the Parents, Jo Lapidge created the Litter Kwitter after she grew tired of cleaning up her cat's litter. The potty training system is so effective that Lapidge claims it takes less time to toilet train a cat than a child.
Cats bury their waste in their litter largely to get rid of the smell. The Litter Kwitter works on the odor-elimination concept by giving cats the same satisfaction of hiding elimination smell by using the toilet, rather than burying their waste in the litterbox. Although cats can be trained to use the toilet without the Litter Kwitter, its step-by-step system is the simplest way to gradually introduce your cat to the toilet.
The Litter Kwitter is ideal for people looking to end litterbox woes of gritty floors and frequent cleanings. Bold, confident cats 3 months of age and up are ideal candidates for potty training. But potty training isn't the right fit for every kitty. Fearful kitties, arthritic felines or cats who already have difficulty using the litterbox are not the best candidates for toilet training.
Going to the bathroom outside the litterbox is one of the top reasons cats are surrendered to shelters, so teaching your cat to consistently go in a designated area, either a litterbox or a toilet, is much more important than eliminating litter from your cat's routine.
Curious about how toilet training a cat works? Wondering if it could work for your cat?
Here's the step-by-step process to get your cat reigning on the porcelain throne with the Litter Kwitter. It does everything but teach your cat to flush!
How the System Works
The Litter Kwitter system consists of four color-coded training trays that fit over the rim of a standard toilet. The first tray is a white rim that fits over the toilet seat and anchors the other trays. The second tray is red and has no hole but holds four to five cups of litter just like a regular litterbox; it hooks onto the white tray.
Start by placing the red tray (which has no hole) inside the white tray; put them both on the floor of the bathroom. Show your cat the litter and place her inside the tray. Put the regular litterbox away so her only choice is the Litter Kwitter system.
Clean the tray regularly throughout the day with non-ammonia-based cleaners. After meals or playtime, or when your cat wakes up, she should be taken to her bathroom area and praised for proper elimination. If you have more than one cat, you will need to get them used to sharing one litterbox before expecting them to share the Litter Kwitter and, eventually, one toilet.
Your cat should only move to the next level of training once she has made a habit of using the first tray without any accidents. If you have multiple household cats, progress at the pace of the slowest learner.
The next step is to get your cat to hop up onto the toilet seat. Practice at first with the lid down; set treats on the lid to lure your cat up. Most cats can easily jump onto the toilet, but for cats with any difficulty, a step stool can be used. Once your cat is comfortably hopping up onto the toilet, move the first Litter Kwitter tray from the floor to the porcelain rim of the toilet and clip it in place. The toilet seat can be left in either the up position or down on top of the Litter Kwitter.
Once your cat is comfortably going over the hole (this typically takes at least a couple of weeks), you're ready for the green stage. The green tray has a large hole with a narrow recess into which you scatter only half a cup of litter. Gradually decrease the amount of litter in the tray, as your cat continues to successfully use the toilet.
Once the cat is reliably using the green tray without any litter in it, you can remove the Litter Kwitter system so there's only a toilet seat left. At this point, celebrate! Your feline is officially potty trained and you have bragging rights galore. Just be ready to wait your turn when the kitty gets to the bathroom first.
Ensure that the bathroom door always stays open so your cat can easily access the potty whenever needed. If your cat eliminates outside the Litter Kwitter system, never punish her; this will just make her anxious. Instead, reward your feline for proper elimination with a treat or praise.
If needed, go back to an easier step such as the red stage, cats rarely learn new skills in a straight line, so going backward and forward during the training is perfectly natural.
NOTE: Don't forget your doggy family members too. If you don't like where they go potty, then this Pee Post helps keep the pee where it should be!
Or this simple Pheromone Treated Yard Stake will also help direct your pet, and maybe your husband or son, to where you want them going potty outside!

50 Worst Charities Soliciting Costs
Totals from the latest 10 years of available federal tax filings
The struggling rescues don't have solicitors, grant writers, fund raisers or telemarketers and we're all slightly shy of 6 digit lobbying funds or ability. It's hard to know exactly how to open minds to the donation abuses while closing check books to the abusers. Don't you have to believe that most people who contribute to animal welfare would expect their monies to actually go to helping animals, not paying fat salaries?
Every penny you donate makes a meaningful difference and goes directly to Happy Tails Rescue, we don't have any salary or benefits and are always in constant need of food, materials and funds.
Did you realize that Oregon Humane Society spent $600,000 lobbying last year and has millions in assets, all compliments of public contributions.
Imagine capitalizing on disasters? Typhoons, hurricans and other disasters are fundraising opportunities for the high profile shelters who can't wait to send teams to areas to extract animals who are then exterminated or passed off to willing rescues. The public only sees helping hands, they whip out their checkbooks and money comes flowing into those who best abuse it. If you care how your contributions are spent, you can change things.
Excerpted from the above article link:
Where does the money go?
Donations to HSUS are socked away in hedge funds, committed to bloated staff salaries and benefits or put right back into HSUS's factory fundraising friends who do their direct mail solicitations.
Our analysis determined that between 1998 and 2009, HSUS put more money into its own pension plan than it made in grants to pet shelters. At the end of 2010, HSUS and its affiliates had stuffed away $32.7 million in hedge funds alone. In addition, $74.3 million, nearly half the total budget of the HSUS empire went to pay mailing costs and salaries and benefits.
In fact, HSUS spent almost $20 million of its donors' money in 2009 and 2010 on a single fundraising consultant, Quadriga Art, which has recently come under scrutiny from the mainstream media. Investigators with CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 reported that Quadriga and an affiliate were the recipients of almost all of the money raised in the name of two veterans' charities and a separate animal charity called SPCA International, money that donors no doubt thought was helping needy people and animals.
In late 2010, CEO Wayne Pacelle stated that HSUS had "about 50" lawyers alongside the 636 total people employed by HSUS that year.
By comparison, the White House had 454 employees in 2011. In all, HSUS has $200 million in net assets. Yet it apparently can't find the resources to run a pet shelter, even just one, or to be a substantial provider of direct care to animals.
If you believe these examples to be shameful deceptions, then VOTE WITH YOUR CHECKBOOK!
In Memory Of Oreo "Today is the four year anniversary of the ASPCA's killing of Oreo, an abused dog, who a No Kill sanctuary offered to save. After Oreo was killed, legislation was introduced in New York which would have made it illegal for shelters, including the ASPCA, to kill animals who rescue groups were willing to save. It was estimated that if the law passed, 25,000 animals a year would be saved. Ed Sayres, the former CEO of the ASPCA made it his personal mission to ensure that the law would not, killing it in the legislature every year.
Since Oreo was killed, an estimated 100,000 animals who also had an immediate place to go, have also been killed. Instead of enjoying the second chances and loving new homes non-profits rescue groups would have guaranteed them, they are dead, their bodies rotting in New York State landfills."
Deeply Supervicial Views of HSUS "After opposing many of the programs of the No Kill Equation for decades, the Humane Society of the United States finally admits that those programs are necessary to save lives. But they then turn around and tell shelters they don’t have to implement them if they do not want to. And they tell activists not to seek laws that will force shelters to do so. In effect, they are telling shelters to go ahead and kill animals if that is what they want to do." Read "HSUS Tells Animal Shelters: Go Ahead and Kill Animals if You Want," my latest article

Thanksgiving isn't a single day for us, we are grateful on a daily basis.
Happy Tails is grateful for our trailer full of premium dog food and treats.
The dependable 1994 Suburban shows her age, as do we all. Yet, she's carried tons of dog food, logging thousands of miles, over 274,000 to be exact. We are thankful that she continues to perform for us.
Each and every Rottweiler is currently healthy, without any known disorders or injuries, but then our Rotts live into their teens. Tummies are full, happy faces with wagging tails, enjoying their first winter "strawing" in their Igloos and for them to lounge on outside.
Happy Tails is rural and off the beaten track, otherwise how would we be able to enjoy nightly howling of dozens of singing Rotties? We are so blessed and thankful for the constant beauty, surrounded by nature, deer sharing our hay, pastures and water.
Living a rural life drives our creative efforts for fund raising and so we rely on contributions both small and large, we appreciate that each is given from the heart. I'm thankful that I've learned to beg on behalf of the dogs who can endear you with a mere stub of a tail, while I must rely on words and trusting you to know that we always have a continual unspoken need throughout the year. I beg only at the end of the year, and hope that our fall photo helps you remember our daily work.
Our website product sales, GOOGLE, nbsp; AmazonGoodSearch checks trickle in from your search clicks, each generating one quarter of a penny each time, but even those add up and directly help support our rescue efforts.
All search clicks from our site, purchases from Amazon or other merchants don't cost you any more and make a significant difference for us, we are grateful for your support.
As consumers we are passionate about voting with our forks and dog dishes, supporting ONLY holistic, premium and superior foods. We reject all synthetics or chemicals, anything which does not appear in nature. We vote with every dollar spent on a product and encourage you to do the same, we and our animals are literally what we eat and what we put on or into our bodies.
These are our current websites, of which I'm the webmaster, designer, builder and work horse. We hope you enjoy the goodies and information, every purchase or search click helps the Rotties.
Happy Tails also has a fun and interesting niche for fund raising, here we are delivering one of our VW Classic Buses! The gentleman who bought our Garcia (lots of Grateful Dead stickers) was the first one to see it driving down from Northern Idaho. We sold several buses this year and would love to have a dozen more if you know anybody who is interested in taking the Fair Market Value as a tax deductible contribution to Happy Tails Rescue. Would you believe many of these buses are going back to their homeland for complete restoration?
We know our country and it's people are suffering, if you can give it's much appreciated.
Every breath we take, every happy, healthy tail sharing our life, and the countless other blessings make us very thankful, may blessings and abundance grace your life throughout the year.

We hope you'll not only use GoodSearch.com as your main search engine from now on, but will also tell your friends, family and co-workers so they, too, can start using GoodSearch to support their favorite cause! Every little bit really does add up and can make a big difference for Happy Tails and the animals it supports.
We neither breed, board nor sell Rottweilers and are NOT classified as a kennel, but
rather as a private charitable rescue sanctuary. Your donations
to us are considered gifts and are not for value received. All of the
Rotties are homed with us, rehabilitated, fed, loved and
nourished back to good physical, mental & spriritual health so that they're ready for their
exceptional new homes.
Adoptions are by appointment only and after you've been approved for adoption.
For protection of the Rottweilers, our sanity and in
order to minimize stressful or territorial reactions, all
adoption appointments & surrenders are done at our office,
or other neutral territory. Your other indoor dogs are also
invited to attend & participate in the selection of your new
family member! Unannounced visitors are not appreciated and will not be accommodated.
