We are told that serious radiation exposure is limited to Fukushima. We are assured that radition levels in US are normal. Nothing is mentioned about long term environmental impact or radiation side effects. They sing us the same song, no need for any alarm, concern or preparation.
March 11, 2011 Fukushima changed the lives of everyone living in North America. In spite of what the media and other talking heads are saying low levels of radiation over a long period of time are very harmful.
50 Plus Natural Remedies For Radiation Fallout Protection clearly outlines in detail what my favorite natural solutions are and why I comsider them to be vital for my health. This is a convenient means to carry
this important report with you if you're considering doing some of the same things that I am. Immediate downloads for: Kindle, iPad, iPhone, PC, Mac, Blackberry, and Android phones.
When you hear the news or some Nuclear or Health Official telling you that "only extremely low levels of radiation have been detected and therefore there is no need to be concerned, there is no health threat to the American public."
Do not be comforted by this false sense of security.
The first part of the statement is true, but the remainder is false.
It's not the loud noise that break glass molecules, it's the frequency.
It's not the strong microwave levels that cause cellular damage, it's the frequency
It's not the strong wireless signal that causes cellular damage, it's the vibrational frequency.
It's not just high levels of radition that cause damage, extreme low levels of radiation do too.
These extreme low levels of biologically significant radiation hit North America Mid March 2011. Low levels of radiation were found in Washington and California milk by the end of March.
North American Radiation
* Cesium 137 accumulates in fatty tissues, liver, spleen and muscles
* Iodide-131 accumulates in Thyroid, breast and ovaries
* Strontium-90 concentrates in your bones and liver
* Barium-140 causes bone tumors up to 30 years later
* Tellurium-132 causes cell mutations, repeatedly via replication
* Yttrium-0 damage to liver and respiration
* Plutonium-244 concentrates in your liver
* Uranium 235 accumulates in your bones and liver
In 1972 Dr Abram Petkau discovered that low levels of radiation, over a longer period of time, were more damaging than higher doses over a short period of time.
Once you ingest or inhale even very low levels of radioactive particles the Petkau Effect immediately starts potentially lethal tissue ionization.
The phenomenon of the Petkau Effect basically means that you are ionizing or irradiating yourself continuously from the inside out. This insidious burning at your molecular level will impair your body long before there is a diagnosable disease.
By April 1 2011 the Fukushima radiation will have passed over all of North America leaving many areas with very low levels of radiation, depending on jet stream distribution.
As the jet stream coninues around the world radioactive particles will fall with rain, snow or as dust particles, before continuing it's deadly circle. The number of radioactive particles may diminish but the STRENGTH of each particle does not diminish.
Just my luck to be in Germany during Chernobyl! How easily the clock turns back to April 25 1986, rembering the precautions that were taken to avoid bringing fallout into a home, I also remember the horrible immune system health disorders, back to back, that I endured during 1987. From a person who has had just one cold and has never had flu, this was significant and clearly a result of Chernobyl:
My mother was with me in Germany and died of cancer 6 years after Chernobyl and did not eat processed foods, smoke, drink, or have any lifestyle factors that were conducive to cancer. It was Chernobyl.
I also aggressively detoxed with clay and other herbs and she did not.
There will always be people who overcome health obstacles and survive. My 1987 health challenges gave me the opportunity to seriously detox and improve my immune system.
And all of our animals will also be included in this special care.
Just a tablespoon, or so, of clay in their water will remove heavy metals, parasites, bacteria and viruses. Plus provide about 60 minerals.
The Chernobyl death estimates (from burning just 10 days) from April 1986 through 2004 estimate the mortality rates at 985,000, or a hundred times more than the WHO/IAEA calculations. Initial predictions for deaths attributed to Fukushima are starting to come in at around 25 million.
What Does Iodine Do?
Iodine is required by the thyroid which regulates your emotions, metabolsim, hormones, ovaries, mammary glands, protein synthesis, strengthens the immune system, enzymatic activty. Your brain, skeletal and nervous sytem require Iodine. 30% of Iodine is utilized by the Thyroid gland, the remainder is used by the mammary glands, eye, gastric mucosa, cervix, thymus and salivary glands.
Iodine also destroys viruses, cancerous cells and removes toxic chemicals, such as aluminum, mercury, fluoride, bromide and from the body. Stress depletes your body of iodine.
During an infection Thyroid hormones gathers in damaged or diseased tissue, and it mobilizes when your immune systems does battle with toxins or bacteria. This suggests that iodine is mobilized for critical defensive health battles.
Radiation Detoxification and Immune Support
My personal health plan will have several aspects, while I'm including extra detoxification and bone support precautions, many of these things are already a part of my normal healthy lifestyle.
* Protecting the thyroid with sufficient Iodine supplements and food
* Detoxification, internally and externally
* Combat free radicals with antioxidants
* Bone support
* Control stress levels
* Bach Floral Remedies help balance the emotions, relieve stress, and reduce fear and nervousness in stressful, traumatic or emergency situations. Animals also appreciate them.
* Decontaminate the garden where food crops grow
* Supply all animals with weight appropriate detoxImmune system and mineral support
Protecting the thyroid and other organs with iodine rich food is critical. We started super saturated Potassium Iodide March 14, 2011 for ourselves and a couple of days later for our animals. Radioactive Iodide-131 accumulates in your Thyroid, breasts and ovaries.
We'll continue taking this type of precaution until at least a month after the radiation quits pouring out of Fukushima. Fortunately, Iodine 131 has a very short half life.
There are many other things that you can do to protect yourself, your animals and your soil. The media is telling incomplete truths. Read our Radiation page
Families of U.S. military members stationed in Japan have been told they can't take pets with them on government-departure flights, according to an animal rights group and one wife of a military member.
An animal rights group, the Animal Legal Defense Fund, said on Friday the concern had been raised to them by several family members of active U.S. military units stationed in Japan.

Dogs Pay For Our Mistakes
Happy Tails has juggled up to 63 Rotts, including 5 to 12 of all different ages, sizes and dispositions living inside with us. We've been doing this full time since 1999 and have made our share of mistakes. Because of our very careful integration of personalities we have avoided any fights to the death, however, a couple of blood drawing battles that reinforces our commitment to separate and integrate appropriately. That's why we live in a two story house, have different runs, different pastures and some dogs sleep in crates at night.
I can also tell you that using pepper spray inside a home is beyond stupid, we know first hand and spent one entire summer with windows and doors open wide before the burning sensation began to dissipate. That was many mistakes ago.
This story is true, just happened a couple of days ago and does not have any of my personal embellishments. I won't be using real names.
Jane had 4 Pit Bulls and 1 Border Collie. Because of us, and because of her big heart she decided to rescue a couple more. I cautioned her to separate the newcomer in a run until everyone became bored and gave Jane a long list of instructions of how to safely co-mingle dogs.
Her Pitty boys are huge, gentle, marshmallows, but she has one smaller, dominant female who was my concern. I'd seen this dog evaluate people and dogs before. While we passed all tests with her, I knew she would be the problem if there ever was any problem.
Each time Jane added a new dog by just letting the other dogs race out to meet him. I would tell her that one day her luck would run out and encourage her to let the newcomer be separate, in a room with a divider or outside in a run until everyone had a chance to meet individually and become comfortable with each other. Dogs need time to adjust to their new environments before introducing other new dogs because each brings personality and baggage, like humans.
Jane loves her dogs and has had Pitties for several decades, they all sleep inside. Jane wanted to help save a few dogs, her husband Bob is not on the same page and was indifferent to the house filled with dogs.
Over the course of a couple of months Jane rescued 3 more Pitties, back to back, I kept sounding the alarm that she couldn't keep introducing new personalities, so quickly, tossing them in together without time to adjust in between. Can all see where this is going?
The last little Pittie female, Molly, was a stray, friendly and sweet as pie, but like a kid in a candy store she had never been in a home, never seen goats, never seen chickens, never been free to play, run, bounce, dig, bark at other dogs etc. She was the happiest little girl I'd ever seen but not particularly responsive to Jane's training.
I helped Jane with clicker training and little Molly caught on in about 5 minutes. So Jane would always wear her clicker on her parka cord and it was a joy to watch Molly come racing from several hundred feet away when Jane clicked once, or come tearing around the barn!
The last few times I was at Jane's I could see the tension in her other dogs, all of them were stressed, even the big Marshmallow boys. I asked her about it and she said there had been several minor skuffles, with one of the newer males always interceeding and trying to break it up. I talked with Jane about this.
There had been several blood drawing, mini battles between the dominant female, Maya, and little Molly, about 1/2 her size. Molly just wanted to play, Maya took it seriously. This is very common and can cause serious problems, misunderstandings
and injuries.
But to Jane I explained in detail that it wouldn't take much for a free for all frenzy to happen if things ever got out of hand and suggested she never leave the 2 females alone together.
Two days ago, and just three months after Molly found her new home, Jane went to a goat show and left strict instructions with her husband NOT to let Maya and Molly outside together.
The barking border collie was outside barking his head off at the cattle drive going by in front of Jane's. These things happen a couple of times a year and we never know the exact date, it's weather dependent. Bob let Molly out (Mistake No 1) to see them, she charged out gleefully, joyous, happy, barking, running, jumping, twirling. WOW COWS! BARK, BARK, BARK! Racing around with the border collie racing
the fence line.
By now the cows were agitated the horses were spooking, the cattle dogs were getting distracted. So Bob let out Maya first and then ALL of the other dogs (Mistake number 2) and went back in the house (Mistake number 3). Leaving all 9 dogs outside, unattended, in a highly emotional situation incites the pack mentality.
Jane's older female helper, who is terrified of Pit Bulls, saw things escalating and started running down the long drive way SCREAMING at the dogs. (Mistake number 4)
She ran back and forth along the fence line screaming at the dogs to stop, while screaming at Dave to come out of the house. (Mistake number 5) She unknowingly, but directly, contributed to a highly volatile situation, screaming really stirs up everyone.
All dogs by now were going nuts, all of the cows are going crazy, the cowboys are threatening to shoot the dogs, the helper is freaking out, and then Maya jumped Molly.
Highly emotional situations ignite frenzies and they can ignite a pack in seconds, not minutes. It's not something you want to ever go through.
Within seconds all dogs but 1 had joined in, a couple taking Molly to the ground, others trying to stop them, puncture bites exchanged all around. Everyone landed puncture bites on somebody. This goes on for several minutes before Bob comes out of the house and manges to get 8 of the dogs inside. He cleans them up and finally notices that Molly isn't there.
She's laying where she fell with her shoulder ripped off and her throat ripped open, in shock and bleeding profusely. I'm not adding to Jame's words, in fact, I'm not mentioning most of them.
Bob puts Molly in a wheelbarrow, because she obviously couldn't move, and takes her to the back porch. The vet is out of town but anticipated being back in a few hours. Bob did not attend to Molly, he left her bleeding, ripped apart and probably dying, in shock, alone and in the wheelbarrow.
The end of the story was that when Jane returned home at 8pm the vet had already shown up, Bob had taken Molly to his office, where the vet spent a couple of hours trying to repair her and giving her pain meds. She had lost a lot of blood in that time.
It's hard to say if Molly could have lived on not, we would have taken her if she did. Unfortunately, Jane didn't call me until after Molly was already dead and buried.
This happy, small, gentle, young dog did not have to die.
I had loaned Jane a crate when Molly first arrived, it was never used and is still leaning up against the carport not far from where Molly is buried.
Comment from Elizabeth Sierra "Toni, yours has consistantly been the best animal advice available from all those I have experienced in over half a century. Your intuition, uncommon sense, fairness and lack of judgementalism with all concerned are remarkable. Thank you for explaining this in a way that it cannot be put aside or forgotten. Thank you for turning the light bulb on for this newby."
