Our Body Washes are carefully selected and blended, containing only the finest quality natural food grade vegetable oils, no GMO frankenfoods, none are processed, hydrogenated, contain solvents or other artificial chemicals or ingredients.   We offer custom blending of Body Washes with or without essential oils to suit your personal needs.   You will benefit by the massage, the herbal properties and the beneficial qualities associated with the oils. Only Vitamin E & other essential oils are used as a natural preservative to help give a longer shelf life.

If you are familiar with your herbal and oil properties it will be easier for you to appreciate our ingredients. Our descriptions aren't intended as thorough investigations into every beneficial property but serve only to highlight and dance across the broad spectrum of blends.  Each could easily occupy an entire page if every potential benefit were fully mentioned. Our Essential Oil Properties and Herbal Properties pages will give you brief descriptions. If you're really intrigued there are ample data bases availabl e that thoroughly address the complete spectrum of beneficial uses.

Like all of our products, you'll find many similar products cost you substantially more, while we are in the mid price range.  Some people simply prefer paying more for something thinking that they are buying more.  Our prices are based on the fluctuating prices of global currencies against the declining purchasing power of the dollar.  Some ingredients are very expensive, while others are relatively less expensive.  Most are imported.  Our ingredients are of the highest quality and not inferior in any way, nor contaminated with synthesized or artificial ingredients found in most commercial body washes that are able to sit on the shelves for years because of the harsh preservatives, stabilizers, fillers & additives.  Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality ingredients at realistic prices.  If something is too cheap, you might want to read the label and compare to see if you really want to put those synthetic products on your body.....

Commercial bars of soap are super cheap, available in bulk just about everywhere and some of them even smell pretty good, or at least not too bad....so why pay extra for natural soap and just what is "natural soap" and what are the differences between commercial soaps and natural soaps?

If you're concerned about the health of your body, mind & spirit, then what happens to your skin is also critical to know what you're putting on your body's largest organ, the skin. Anything applied to the skin will either benefit or harm you from the topical application of ingredients. Your skin does not live in isolation from the rest of your body. If you think it does, take some freshly crushed garlic, rub it on the soles of your feet and have someone smell your breath in about 20 minutes!

So just what is Natural Soap? And more importantly is the soap you've been buying really soap or something else?

All soap, natural and commercial, is made from a combination of oils and an alkali (such as lye, ash or carbon) and water. Saponification is the chemical reaction produced when these ingredients are combined.  The result from that reaction is soap and glycerin.  Soap cleanses the skin, while glycerin moisturizes it.

Before we were soap educated we were very concerned about the lye in soap, particularly in handcrafted soap.   Especially now that lye is a restricted item and also used in various illegal activities such as meth production.  The horror stories make us fear LYE.   It's important to understand the basics of the soap making process.   Once the saponification process is complete the lye molecules and oil molecules have combined and chemically changed into soap and glycerin.   There just isn't any lye present in finished bars of soap and soap can't be made without lye.   All soap uses lye or ash to produce the saponification process.

The soap making process was probably discovered by accident.   When the fats from animal sacrifices mixed with the ashes from the burnt offerings in the rivers near the alters, women noticed that as they pounded and rubbed their clothes on the rocks in the normal manner, the rocks found near the sacrificial alters resulted in cleaner clothes.   Fortunately, we can enjoy excellent results without that nasty tradition!!

Like everything else synthetic, people are discovering the truth about commercial soap.   They are learning that the soap bars that fill the shelves aren't really soap.   They are called " syndet "  bars or  " synthetic detergent " bars.   Detergents are different from soaps and are made from all or mostly synthetic chemicals, many proven to be carcinogenic.    Detergents were invented in 1916 in Germany.   They contain harsh synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, fillers, binders, builders, colorings, dyes, preservatives, stabilizers, additives and a host of other substances that enable them to sit on shelves for years.   Part of the advertising dollar to lure the consumer is spent on making these harsh chemical detergents and petroleum products sound more attractive, so they're often called  " beauty bars "  " deodorant bars "... " "cleansing bars " or  " pet shampoo bars ".   You won't see the word " soap "  on the label because detergents can't be labeled as soap, however crafty wording will deceive if we're not careful.

So what is the difference between natural soap and a nice smelling detergent?   Detergents strip your skin's natural oils by removing the natural moisturizing oils along with the soil. That's the reason your skin feels dry or itchy and uncomfortable after bathing, no matter how much you lather on synthetic lotions. Commercial "soaps" also remove the naturally occurring glycerin that would normally be found in soap. Glycerin is a natural humectant that helps your skin retain its natural moisture. Commercial manufactures will often use salt in the process to remove the glycerin creating an even more drying "soap".  Then the glycerin is sold to other companies, lowering the cost of their "soap" and making more money by selling the glycerin...resulting in increased profit.  And whom do they sell the glycerin to?  If you guessed, companies that produce body lotions and creams, you'd be right!

These are the very same lotions that you need to apply after bathing because, your skin has been dried out by commercial detergents! Don't you wonder if some "soap" manufacturers also own some commercial body lotion companies too?

Grand marketing schemes often produce great results at the consumers expense, beautiful botanical names, wrappings and photographs will give every indication that a product is made with nothing but the freshest and best natural ingredients. Try pronouncing the ingredients on commercial detergent bars. Are they natural or synthetic?.... Natural handcrafted soaps contain only pure and natural ingredients so the ingredients list on the label should be easy to pronounce and understand, unless the Latin names are given.

Handcrafted Soap vs. Commercial Soap?  So, now you have discovered what commercial soap is.  It's detergent, the same thing you wash your clothes or car with.  Synthesized chemicals that are harsh, strip your natural oils, dry your skin and are unsuitable for personal skin care, while natural soaps are made from natural oils and other natural ingredients, often with retained glycerin which naturally moisturizes your skin.  The glycerin content is why handcrafted soap is softer than commercial soaps..

Handmade soap is normally in 100 bar batches, poured into wooden molds to set overnight, hand cut and placed on drying racks to cure before being ready to use.

Evening Primrose oil is light and nutty taste and fragrance.  You'll enjoy the ease of which this oil gently glides across your skin.   Extremely helpful in treating menstrual and pre-menstrual problems, eczema and psoriasis. It's useful in treating allergic skin problems; Its healing action results from its high content of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid that is vital to cell and body functions and not produced by the body itself.  If your skin resembles an old leathery saddle, you may benefit from including Evening Primrose Oil in your daily treatments.

This is the mildest Castile soap formula available in the marketplace at this time. This product is free of artificial colors, fragrances, preservatives, animal products, byproducts and testing. Our Castile gel soap may be used for hand and body wash, oily hair shampoo and for general purpose cleaning.  Fine for the dog also.  Ingredients: Saponified Oils of Coconut, Olive and Jojoba, Aloe Vera, Glycerin, Rosemary Extract. This is a thick product with a honey-like consistency, with a dark yellow or dark orange color.  Because this is an all natural product, the color may vary from batch to batch and have color variations. Avena kinesia ~ This is an incredible imported natural Spanish soap based on 100% Natural Oats.   The proteins, mineral salts, vitamins, lipids, carbohydrates and oils contained in the oats provide nourishing and softening properties, and may help your skin feel more firm, with greater elasticity and comfort to the skin.   It smells fantastic and i's priced to enjoy daily.   This soap offers a very county type of aroma and feeling, as though it were just made in your kitchen!
